Mr. Blaser’s Basic Grading Scale *

 5                      Work is beyond 5th grade expectations.                                   The quality demonstrated is unusually                                               high and exceeds what is required.

  

 4                      You meet the expectations for the 5th                                     grade standard addressed!  This is where                                 you should be and shows that the you can                               apply the skill and/ or knowledge in this task.

 

 3                      Work is almost completed to the                                             described standard.  There are some                                       minor problems, errors, or omissions.                                          

 

 2                      The work is presented and skills and/ or                                   knowledge is evident in some ways, but there                           are major flaws, errors or omissions.

 

 1                       The skills/ knowledge is not demonstrated.

 

 

 

*This numerical scoring system will be used for general homework/ class assignments as well as some simple assessments.  A

percentage score, traditional grade (A, B, C, etc.) or specific rubric will be used for major assignments, tests and projects.
